Emergence is an instrument plugin that lets you play field recordings like an instrument. You load any audio file, rain, wind, crowd noise, a room, anything, and it becomes playable via MIDI. Each note you play resonates that frequency out of the source material using high-Q bandpass filters, surfacing the pitched content that was already hidden in the recording. Currently available in AU format only.
